Yesterday, I went to sleep around 21:00 and had a good one until 08:00. I needed this. Around 09:00 I depart towards Glacier National Park which needs about 400 kilometers driving. I start with a nice scenic byway, a quiet green road. Montana is Big Sky Country which is clearly visible on this photo. There is so much space out here. Really lovely!
In between the grass, flowers can be seen.
I continue to a ghost town. Thought it would be a village with decayed houses but instead it’s a major commercial circus. Not a place for me. I leave immediately. I do get a tip to drive a beautiful road through forests and along lakes. I can not remember having seen such green bushes and grass ever before. Almost unreal.
After the forests, the open plains emerge once again. It keeps being nice driving around in this landscape!
The mountains loom already in the distance.
Soon again, I’m driving through hills, the precursors for the mountains in Glacier National Park. The water of this lake is crystal clear.
And again back into the forest. Nice variation! Then I encounter a wildly flowing stream that requires a bit more attention. Flowing water is always an interesting subject, in particular under a cloudy sky or in a forest like here.
